Sukimi Scenery found along the Kojohama shoreline in winter. After extracting the roe, the fish are opened up and dried in the sun to be used in cooking. The fish roe is know throughout Japan as Kojohama Tarako.	Alaska Pollock Tarako and shirako roe are extracted from this fish.	Flounder A flatfish eaten dried.	Sturgeon There is also a sturgeon farm operating in Shiraoi.
